The flag of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces consists of three horizontal
stripes, green, yellow and light blue. The emblem of the Armed Forces is placed
in the center of the flag, and inscription ‘ESTADO-MAIOR CONJUNTO DAS FORÇAS
ARMADAS’ (Joint Staff of the Armed Forces) is written above the emblem in arc
with yellow letters. The flag is bordered a yellow frame all around (not
fringe).

The emblem of the Armed Forces is a vertically divided disc, consists of
green, white and light blue vertical stripes. The emblems of the Army (Land
Forces), the Navy and the Air Force are placed on each stripe respectively.
There are two inscriptions on white stipe, name of the country (BRASIL) is
written on upper part, and abbreviation of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces
(EMCFA) is placed on lower part of white panel of the emblem. Disc is surmounted
by a golden wreath, and the date of creation of new Armed Forces structure is
placed on a yellow ribbon underneath (25 DE AGOSTO DE 2010).

The previous emblem was similar to the current one, only elements were
arranged in a different order.

different than current one.

This flag is vertically divided yellow (toward the hoist) and green over
white over light blue (toward the fly) with the emblem of the Armed Forces on
the yellow field.
